Technical features

It is a folded and electrically welded iron plate box with a rectangular section. The main girders are linked to the legs of the gantry i.e. to the headers.

At the beam extremity, to delimit the wider excursion and to absorb safely eventual collision with the travelling trolley, the fixed clasps contrasting the high absorption capacity elastic rubber bumpers are placed.

These are placed on the trolley or directly on the clasps.
On the higher flitch plates is located the track for the motion of the trolley, along the axis of one of the two beam cores.

The wheels, rolling on pins, are assembled upon conical bearings equipped with an adjustment and lubrication system. The adopted transmission system is “direct” type where the motive wheels get the motion from a self-braking motor reducer fixed directly without external gear.

The reducer, lubricated with an oil bath, is an orthogonal types with cylindrical and bevel gears, with heat treated helicoidal gear teeth.

The electric motor, is a self-braking type with a short circuit rotor.

It travels on the tracks placed upon the upper flitch plate of the girder.

The trolley structure is made with an electro welded tubular frame. Four forged steel wheels warrant the motion of the trolley.
Two of them are motive, they all have double flanges and roll on bearings. Two self-braking motor reducer drives the two motive wheels with the same characteristic direct system as the travelling unit.

The trolley is equipped with stirrups to prevent falls and derailments and have electric limit switch to delimit the transversal motion.
On the frame of the trolley, you will find the anchorage seat of the electric hoist, which is supplied on supported execution.

The lifting unit is composed of:

  • Reducer: mechanical cast iron or steel box, with gears made of heat treated allied steel. The shafts are assembled on bearings and the rectified teeth.
  • Lubrication: is warranted by the beating of the oil contained in the chest of the reducer.
  • Rope winding drum: made of laminated steel tube with machined helicoidal grooves. It is motioned by the slow shaft of the reducer and on the opposite side it is supported by self-aligning roller bearing.
  • Electric motor: at high couple and low absorption at pickup.
  • Block brake: motioned by an electro-hydraulic brake server, operating on a pulley set on the fast shaft of the reducer and linked to the motor with a pins join.
  • Lift limit switch: it is a worm type, motioned by the drum. It guarantees the stop at the maximum and minimum range of the hook. It is activated directly by the slow shaft of the drum.
  • Lift rope: high flexibility formation and high resistance to wear.
  • Lift hook: it turns on a thrust bearing and assembled, with a yoke, on the block with return pulleys.
  • Limiting device: placed on the extremity of the rope; it intervene in case of overload.
